Who would have thought that the plague of confusion would strike this deep? That the enemy would confuse so many to the plain and simple reality of God’s creation of man and woman. God did. I believe that’s why he has positioned Concerned Women for America (CWA) so uniquely to fight the battle for women’s dignity. Today of all days, October 10, we reflect and defend the beautiful ways God set women apart.
Last year, Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tennessee), with the support of Concerned Women for America LAC, introduced a resolution recognizing October 10 (X/X in roman numerals) as “American Girls in Sports Day,” or as Riley Gaines and many others call it, “Real Women’s Day.” International Women’s Day is routinely celebrated in March, but bad actors like Planned Parenthood have hijacked the celebrations to promote harmful, sex-denying agendas and platform men in dresses. So, Sen. Blackburn stepped in to reclaim the celebration of women by tying it to our biological distinction, XX.
Of course, CWA members, along with our Young Women for America (YWA) leaders defend this truth year-round, but especially today.
This morning, I published an op-ed in Fox News about notable Democrat leaders abandoning ship and recognizing biological reality. Many members of the House of Representatives have begun to vote for women’s sports protections, and even former Vice President Kamala Harris admitted in her new book that she recognizes our concerns:
“I agree with the concerns expressed by parents and players that we have to take into account biological factors such as muscle mass and unfair student athletic advantage when we determine who plays on which teams, especially in contact sports.”
But she added, “There was no way I was going to go against my very nature and turn on transgender people.”
And there it is. Tension unmasked. When reality collides with allegiance, the Democrats choose allegiance.

My CWA colleague, Legislative Strategist Maggie McKneely and I will also be joining a panel discussion here in Washington, D.C., later today titled “Defending the Dignity of Women.” The event is co-hosted with “She Leads” and “Faith and Liberty,” and will additionally feature Leigh-Allyn Baker, an actor known for her leading role on Good Luck Charlie, who now serves as a representative for Turning Point USA, and Kayleigh Bush, who, after winning Miss Florida 2025, turned down the crown when they redefined “woman” in her contract.
The panel will begin with God’s creation in Genesis, then explore the panelists’ stories of how abandoning God’s design has harmed women, and discuss how we, as Christian women, can promote justice and correctly defend and celebrate women.
There are also several updates from Congress and the White House to celebrate this year! Of course, President Trump began his second term as president with a dedicated fervor to protecting women from gender ideology. Both the Department of Justice and the Department of Education have been working tirelessly to ensure K-12 schools and universities uphold their Title IX obligations clarified through the President’s executive orders. The House of Representatives has also passed a historic piece of legislation codifying these protections, clarifying that Title IX is based on sex, not gender identity. They are also working to extend similar protections to female athletes in Olympic and amateur leagues through the Protection of Women in Olympic and Amateur Sports Act.
If your member of Congress is not already a cosponsor of the bill, we encourage you to call their office and urge them to sign onto H.R. 1028 in honor of Real Women’s Day!
Sen. Blackburn has already reintroduced her legislation honoring today’s celebration, and CWA is just getting started. We have been championing the unique dignity of women since our conception, and today, X/X, we celebrate how our loving Creator manifested this distinction into every aspect of our DNA.
