cphll.jpgThe Institute of Medicine (IOM) has issued a report on what constitutes preventive care. That report is about to be adopted by the Dept. of Health and Human Services (HHS) as part of the regulations implementing ObamaCare. Specifically, the report mandates what “preventive” procedures and drugs insurance companies MUST cover and that medical professionals MUST provide. Shari Rendall, CWA’s Director of Legislation and Public Policy, says the IOM report includes birth control as well as prescription abortifacients like RU-486 and ella – raising issues of taxpayer funding of abortion as well as a loss of conscience rights for pro-life medical professionals. HHS is currently taking public comment on this report and your input is needed. Listen | Download
