August 6 – Olympia Prayer Vigil

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

SAVE THE DATE!

Concerned Women for America of Washington is joining other pro-family organizations in a day of prayer and fasting on Saturday, August 6, 2011. There will be a 24-hour prayer vigil in Olympia, and CWA of Washington is scheduled to lead prayer on the Capitol steps from 9 a.m. until noon. We are praying for and need your participation. Please save the date on your calendar and plan to join us for this day of prayer and fasting.

Will you pray with us? Will you encourage, participate or perhaps even lead a prayer group in your church or community? Prayer is CWA’s first priority followed by education and action. We urge every leader and member to pray before anything else. “Prayer is not preparation for the battle, prayer is the battle.” (E.M. Bounds)

Our nation is besieged by all manner of problems, and now is the time for God’s people, those who hold to the Judeo-Christian standards upon which this nation was built, to go to their knees to appeal to our Heavenly Father for forgiveness and revival.

If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

The instant I speak concerning a nation and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, to pull down, and to destroy it, if that nation against whom I have spoken turns from its evil, I will relent of the disaster that I thought to bring upon it. Jeremiah 18:7-8

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16

If you cannot join us in Olympia on August 6, we urge you to pray about other possibilities. Consider asking your own church to sponsor a day of prayer and fasting or invite your fellow believers into your home, to a library, a park, etc. Remember, where two or more are gathered in the name of Christ Jesus, He promises to be with us.
