Representative Emily Chenevert (R-District 66) is the author of a House Concurrent Resolution, HCR 26, which would encourage the Louisiana State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education to incorporate “the science of human growth and development” into educational content standards. The resolution also requests that curriculum and instructional material be made available on its website for schools and educators. It currently has 23 co-sponsors.
This resolution has passed the Louisiana House and is currently pending on the Louisiana Senate floor, having been considered on May 7, 2026. The vote could come up any day.

Please contact your senator at the ACTION CENTER and ask them to support HCR26.

Heavenly Father, as we pray for the senators who will be voting on pro-life education and policies, give them the courage to make decisions that will affect future generations of families and children. We also pray for the educators who will be studying and collaborating to determine what information to include in the curriculum. Help them understand the need to protect human dignity.
