Last week, Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly (Democrat) vetoed SB 233, the Forbidding Abusive Child Transitions Act. The bill would prohibit doctors from conducting medical and surgical interventions on minor children and will prohibit the radical “treatment” for gender dysphoria, which involves puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and irreversible surgeries like double mastectomies and genital removal or reconstruction to “become” the opposite sex.
 
The Kansas legislature will reconvene next week to try to override vetoed bills, SB 233 being one of them. Gov. Kelly vetoed a similar bill to SB 233 last year, and the legislature came up short of a veto override. That is why your legislators must hear from you and vote to override the veto of SB 233. We must protect Kansas children from the gender ideology obsession that manipulates children and instills confusion and hopelessness in young minds. Using children for medical experiments that have no basis in science must be stopped.
 
A veto override needs 84 votes in the House and 27 in the Senate.
 
Take Action
Contact your state legislators through our Action Center HERE and urge them to attend the veto session and vote yes on SB 233. What’s at stake is the medical safety of Kansas children from those who seek to do them medical harm.
 
Pray without ceasing. Pray now that legislators will attend and vote to protect children from medical mutilation.
 
Heavenly Father, thank You for blessing us with leaders who are concerned about the welfare of the children in our state. We thank You for giving them the wisdom to courageously address concerns that impact Kansas. Thank you for blessing their lives. Lord, You alone rule. Eyes look to You in hope. By faith, we declare that our Louisiana leaders will trust in You and lean not on their own understanding. We pray they will seek Your in all that they do, and as they do this, we trust that You will show them Your will for Kansas. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
