CWA is seeking an Accounting Assistant in our Washington, D.C. area office. The purpose of this position is to keep accurate records of monies coming into and going out from the company. The Bookkeeper reports to the Director of Finance. A job description is attached.
We are seeking someone with attention to detail, integrity, confidentiality, and the ability to communicate effectively on the phone and in writing with creditors, state leaders and fellow employees. In addition to keeping financial records and overseeing cash flow, the person in this position will be expected to communicate with donors regarding questions about donations, to train volunteers to keep financial records, and to prepare various financial reports.
