Thank you, Attorney General, Kris Kobach!
Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach has called for investigations into four Kansas Schools for possible violations of Title IX, the federal law that ensures fairness in school programs and sports, and FERPA, the law that protects students’ privacy and educational records. (Read full press release here.)
The original complaint was filed by the Defense in Freedom Institute, a nonprofit organization that advocates for parental rights and student protections, with the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights and Student Privacy Policy Office. Education Secretary McMahon affirmed her commitment to “vigorously enforce FERPA” to protect the rights of students and parents.
