North Carolina: Help Us Ensure Election Integrity

The 2024 elections are upon us, and we need your help to ensure that every eligible vote counts in North Carolina! Here are ways to engage:

  1. Serve as challengers and watchers during early voting and on Election Day. Reach out to your local Republican or Democrat parties for information on qualifications and how to apply.
  2. Serve as Officer of Elections/Election Officer (poll workers.) For general information, go here. For information of opportunities in your community, contact your local county board of elections, go here. Some of the counties have information and applications available directly on their website, others you will have to contact directly.
  3. Ensure North Carolinians are registered to vote. We have made it easy for you. Download our Conducting a Voter Registration Drive: Instructions and Helpful Tips.

Election Dates

Primary Election

  • Friday, February 9, 2024: Voter registration deadline (5:00 p.m.)
  • Thursday, February 15, 2024: In-person early voting begins.
  • Tuesday, February 27, 2024: Absentee ballot request deadline (5:00 p.m.)
  • Saturday, March 2, 2024: In-person early voting ends (3:00 p.m.).
  • Tuesday, March 5, 2024: Primary Election Day.
  • Tuesday, March 5, 2024: Absentee ballot return deadline (7:30 p.m.)

General Election

  • Friday, October 11, 2024: Voter registration deadline (5:00 p.m.)
  • Thursday, October 17, 2024: In-person early voting begins.
  • Tuesday, October 29, 2024: Absentee ballot request deadline (5:00 p.m.).
  • Saturday, November 2, 2024: In-person early voting ends (3:00 p.m.).
  • Tuesday November 5, 2024: Primary Election Day.
  • Tuesday, November 5, 2024: Absentee ballot return deadline (7:30 p.m.)
