S.B. 167, a bill that would withdraw Georgia from the Common Core Standards will be heard in the Senate Education and Youth Committee next Thursday, February 28, at 1:00 p.m. in room 307 of the Coverdell Legislative Office Building.
The passage of S.B. 167 will be a huge win for Georgia’s parents, children, and teachers. It will withdraw Georgia from the Common Core Standards and thus restore control of Georgia’s educational standards back into the hands Georgia’s citizens.
We need your help in three ways:
Attend the Senate Education and Youth Committee hearing. We need to pack the hearing with concerned parents, students, teachers, and taxpayers. We all fall into one of those categories! Please consider traveling to the Capitol and attending the hearing to show your support. We cannot win this battle without your help! Contact ALL the members of the Senate Education and Youth Committee, even if they are not your state senator. Their decision will impact you regardless of whether or not they are your state senator. Pray for the members of the committee. Pray that their eyes will be open to the truth about Common Core and the impact that national standards will have on Georgia children for generations to come.
Contact all the committee members listed here. Ask them to support Senate Bill 167.
