The annual SpeakOut Illinois Conference, which includes SpeakOut Illinois 2013 and TeenSpeak 2013, will be held on Saturday, February 2 at the Crowne Plaza O’Hare Hotel in Rosemont. Concerned Women for America of Illinois is a sponsoring organization for these conferences. These conferences help to educate and equip today’s pro-life citizens and teens with the facts and information needed to “speak out” in our culture about protecting the sanctity of human life and women’s health by helping them understand current issues in the abortion debate. With 2013 marking the 40th anniversary of the tragic Supreme Court ruling in Roe v. Wade, it is more important than ever for pro-lifers to recommit themselves to the battle for life.
Featured speakers for this year’s conference are Eric Scheidler, executive director of the Pro-Life Action League, Ryan Bomberger, founder of the Radiance Foundation, and Star Parker, president of the Center for Urban Renewal and Education. The Henry Hyde Life Leadership award will be presented to Star Parker, president of the Center for Urban Renewal and Education. In addition, longtime pro-life advocate Dick Walsh will be presented with a special Illinois Life Award for his undaunted dedication to the values of life and family.
