Washington, D.C. — Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee (CWALAC) launched radio advertisements today in eight states, calling on Congress to defund Planned Parenthood. The ads in Pennsylvania, Florida, Ohio, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Michigan, and Wisconsin are the latest in an ongoing grassroots campaign by CWALAC that has already generated approximately one million mailed petitions to the House of Representatives.
“Planned Parenthood has been exposed as an organization that winks and nods at sex traffickers and is a sanctuary for statutory rapists, yet there are Republicans and Democrats in Congress who will still vote to send money we don’t have to this corrupt organization. Members of Congress need to understand there is a price to pay for such recklessness with the public’s money,” said Penny Nance, CEO of CWALAC.
Planned Parenthood receives one-third of its $1.1 billion annual budget from U.S. taxpayers, and reported performing more than 324,000 abortions per year. There is no reason for the United State government to fund this corrupt organization.

Undercover reports have shown Planned Parenthood, the nation’s number one abortion provider, has been willing to aid and abet sex traffickers in their abuse of minors. Listen to this Planned Parenthood manager, as she advises the pimp on the best way to cover the crime:
[AUDIO CLIP] “If they’re fourteen and under, just send them right there if they need an abortion [laugh] okayAnd that is not all. Planned Parenthood has also been implicated in covering up the rape of minors, otherwise known as statutory rape.
Yet our state and federal government continue to give millions of your tax dollars to this corrupt and potentially criminal enterprise.
As the nation works to come out of a very painful recession and struggles to get out of the biggest deficit since the 1940s, it is time for the government to get out of the abortion business and stop funding Planned Parenthood.
Call [Senator/Representative Name] at 202-224-3121 and ask them to stop sending your tax dollars to Planned Parenthood.
