2027 Encourage-A-Legislator Program

The Call to Prayer
Scripture calls us to pray for those in authority. Concerned Women for America’s (CWA) Encourage-A-Legislator (EAL) Program offers a simple, meaningful way to answer that call.
Through prayer and words of encouragement, EAL builds bridges with our elected officials—not only with those with whom we agree, but also with those with whom we may disagree.
Regardless of a legislator’s political party, beliefs, or positions on the issues, one thing is certain: every legislator needs prayer. During the 2027 legislative session, CWA of Missouri is committed to making sure our state legislators are covered in prayer and encouragement.
How the Program Works
Our goal is to encourage every member of the State House and Senate through:
- Regular prayer for an assigned legislator.
- Encouraging postcards sent throughout the legislative session.
The EAL Program is not a lobbying program and is never confrontational. The postcards do not address legislation or political issues. Instead, they offer prayer, encouragement, and appreciation to those serving in public office.
Your Commitment
CWA will provide you with:
- The name and address of your assigned legislator.
- EAL postcards to send throughout the session.
- Simple instructions to help you get started.
As an encourager, you will:
- Pray daily for your assigned legislator throughout the legislative session.
- Mail one EAL postcard every other week until the session concludes.
It’s a simple commitment that can have a meaningful impact!

You will receive a packet of postcards and instructions in December. Please sign up by November 30.
Spread the Word!
Invite your friends, family, church members, and Bible study groups to participate. You might even consider making EAL a family project by involving your children—a wonderful way to teach the next generation the importance of praying for those in authority.
