On November 3, the Senate Judiciary Committee will vote on the Respect for Marriage Act, S. 598. This legislation will repeal the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) and will force states to recognize any kind of marriage sanctioned by another state including same-sex or polygamous marriages.
