Dear Friends,
Wow! We heard from many of you visiting your representatives and senators that the phones were ringing off the hook for our call-in day! Thank you so much for your participation. Our efforts showed Members of Congress that we mean business. Americans want Congress to make substantial cuts in federal spending, maintaining all the pro-life protections in our current spending, and defund Planned Parenthood.
While we hit them hard yesterday, we cannot slow down; we have to keep pressure on the House and the Senate to make sure they know that Americans want them to lead our country in a new direction, one that empowers people and not the bloated federal government.
We expect another continuing resolution (CR) to be voted on shortly. Initially the reports were that it would be a longer CR to cut spending and that would include our pro-life and pro-family priorities. It seems that Congress is still trying to determine what they will push. We have a great opportunity to urge them to fight for our priorities — November was a signal that “Washington as usual” was not acceptable!
Please call your representative and senators today, and urge them to cut spending, protect our pro-life and pro-family policies, and defund Planned Parenthood!
It is not only fiscally unsound in the current state of our nation; it is morally irresponsible to subsidize the largest abortion provider in the country.
