Yesterday was a victorious day for Louisiana’s children with the state legislature’s bi-partisan vote to override Gov. John Bel Edwards’ veto of HB 648, the Stop Harming Our Kids Act. We are grateful for the hard work of bill sponsor Rep. Gabe Firment (R-District 22) and for the state legislators who voted to leave a legacy of protection for Louisiana’s children from medical harm and life-altering sex-change procedures.
We are also grateful for your unrelenting prayers, action, and determination to “Pray, Stand, and Fight.” YOU made the difference!
Below are several pictures from yesterday as Concerned Women for America of Louisiana represented your voice as we stood with our allies in the Rotunda of the Louisiana State Capitol to pray and encourage a Yes vote as we waited for the Special Veto Override Session to be called to order.
Together, we are,
Anchored In Christ,
Laura Huber
