KINSEY LEGACY
The incidence of sexually transmitted diseases in the homosexual community is growing in the United States according to the CDC (Centers for Disease Control). AIDS, the deadliest STD has increased 17 percent among homosexual and bisexual men. Infection rates for syphilis is also rising and there is evidence that more than 50 percent of homosexual and bisexual men are susceptible to contracting hepatitis A and B through sexual contact. There is also evidence that drug use has increased high-risk sexual behaviors. The drug cocktail, Viagra and crystal methamphetamines are increasing the high-risk behavior contributing to the escalation.
