Dear Friends,
American Christians are truly blessed. We are able to openly worship our heavenly Father and to praise Him for the great things He does for all who believe in Him. We can share the good news of the Gospel with friends and loved ones. We are not criminals for simply believing that we are saved by Jesus Christ. Many Christians face imprisonment, torture and even execution as a result of laws that criminalize Christianity. Christians are treated as second-class citizens in Pakistan and face discrimination in education and employment opportunities in Egypt. The threat of a forced conversion from Christianity in many nations is very real. It is even reported from North Korea that imprisoned Christians are test subjects for chemical and biological agent experiments. Churches have been burned and Bibles banned in these countries and many others. Sunday, November 12, is the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church and Concerned Women for America (CWA) encourages Christians to focus their prayers on those who suffer for their faith.
Here are some resources that will increase your awareness of what it means to be a Christian in other nations:
CWA greatly appreciates all you do to help us restore Biblical principles to everyday life in the United States. However, as Christians, we cannot forget about our brothers and sisters in other nations who are not as free as we are to live out their faith. Sincerely,
