CWA of North Carolina: Join Us TOMORROW in Charlotte as we Pray for North Carolina

November 17, 2016 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Dear Friend,

North Carolina has been through much this year. From a long battle over men having access to women’s restrooms, threats to our religious freedoms, natural disasters, possible corruption in North Carolina’s voting process, and now a recount for the governor’s race. We are in great need of the Lord’s guidance, help and healing.

Please join with Concerned Women for America of North Carolina as we discuss these issues and then lay them before the Lord in prayer with a heightened focus on the recount process.

Thursday, November 17, 2016
7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
First Baptist Church, Charlotte
301 South Davidson Street
Charlotte, NC 28202

We will hear from several speakers:

  • Dr. Mark Harris, Senior Pastor, First Baptist Church, Charlotte
  • New: Rep. Dan Bishop, current State House Representative and newly-elected Senator (R-District 39)
  • Dr. Mark Harris, Senior Pastor, First Baptist Church, Charlotte
  • Tami Fitzgerald, Executive Director, NC Values Coalition
  • Pearl Burris-Floyd, Member of the University of North Carolina Board of Governors (former State House Representative and Gaston County Commissioner)
  • Tom Phillips, Vice President, Billy Graham Evangelistic Association
  • Jill Coward, State Director, CWA of North Carolina

We will be praying that HB2 will stand through continued opposition, for those suffering from extreme weather and for the governor’s race recount process — for Gov. Pat McCrory and Attorney General Roy Cooper, as well as their families during this recount process. We will be praying for North Carolina churches and believers across the state as we strive to be salt and light.

We will be praying the Lord enables us to extend His grace as we deal with those who disagree with us. Concerned Women for America CEO and President Penny Nance says something to the effect of, “When a blind man steps on your toes, what do you do? You don’t get angry or retaliate, but instead, you respond in grace.”

Invite friends and family! Women, men and teens are all welcome and encouraged to attend.

Watch for more information to come!

There is no cost and no RSVP required.

We hope to see you there!
