CWA of Texas: Co-Sponsors Texas Faith & Family Day at the Capitol
March 13 @ 8:30 am - 4:00 pm
Concerned Women for America (CWA) of Texas is hard at work tracking legislation this 86th Texas legislative session and keeping an eye on those bills that affect the things we hold dear: our deeply held faith and precious Texas families. Here is an opportunity for you to participate in education, prayer, and advocacy. Please join us!
On March 13, the day after our Dinner with Texas Legislators, is the Texas Faith & Family Day at the Capitol event. This is a wonderful event put on by several pro-family organizations, including CWA of Texas. It is to be held at the Capitol Building. You will hear from five experts including our own Dr. Shea Garrison from CWA’s Washington, D.C. office. She is the Vice President of International Affairs and will be speaking about current issues. You will also hear from Lt. Col. Allen West and 40 Days For Life Founder, David Bereit. The event will conclude with a rally on the South steps at noon.
Don’t miss out on this opportunity to come to Austin to make your voice heard!

Please join us in prayer:
- For boldness and courage for our legislators that they will tackle issues that may be controversial but are profoundly important. “Do not be afraid any longer, but go on speaking and do not be silent.” (Acts 18:9, NASB)
- For us to speak for those who cannot speak for themselves. “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those being crushed. Yes, speak up for the poor and helpless, and see that they get justice.” (Proverbs 31:8-9, NLT)
- For likeminded, Jesus-loving Texans to step out of their comfort zones and engage in the work to be done this legislative session.
For wonderful, life-giving relationships and friendships between our CWA members and legislators.
- That we would authentically represent Christ as we walk the halls and offices of the capitol as well as in our everyday lives. That we would be “a fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.” (2 Corinthians 2:15, NKJV)
We have challenging days ahead. We hope to see you in Austin!
