Abortion and Race in America

By | Media, News and Events | No Comments

Organizations Representing Millions of Americans Send Message to Congress:  Don’t Draft Our Daughters

Washington, D.C. – As the House Armed Services Committee prepares to mark up the FY 2022 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) on September 1, national and state women’s groups, military and pro-family organizations, veterans, faith and medical leaders sent a letter to Members of Congress calling on them to reject any provision amending the Military Selective Service Act to require women to register with the selective service, the mechanism for conscripting America’s 18-25 year-olds in a military draft.

Penny Young Nance, CEO and President of Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee, had this to say:

“America has just witnessed the horror and heartbreak of the brutal terrorist attack in Afghanistan and the solemn return of thirteen fallen service members, including two female marines who paid the ultimate sacrifice.  Women today are free to serve and proud to serve in the U.S armed forces, but they should not be forced to serve.  We stand united against making our military a social experiment.

“Our daughters should not be forced to register for the draft to prove they are equal, and our military should not be forced to compromise its focus on our national security to placate liberal activists who don’t respect the intrinsic value and dignity of women.  Concerned Women for America supports the courageous women who commit their lives to military service, but a country that requires its daughters to gamble their lives on the lottery of war also risks the foundations that make our country strong.”

The letter, “Special Message to the 117th Congress: Don’t Draft Our Daughters” can be found HERE.

In addition to the leaders listed, numerous concerned citizens from across America heard about this effort and signed on to take a stand, among them a retired firefighter in California, a Nebraska constituent, a father of six girls, mothers of daughters in the U.S. Army, a family physician in New Jersey, and countless others.

Call It Like It Is: Biden’s Humanitarian Crisis

Washington, D.C. – Concerned Women for America‘s CEO and President, Penny Nance, issued the following statement regarding the recent events in Afghanistan:

“The heartbreaking events that unfolded over the weekend in Afghanistan are a direct result of the incompetence of President Biden and his administration officials. Once again, we see this administration exercise weak leadership and turn its back on the most vulnerable groups they claim to support: women and children.

” Women and young girls in Afghanistan will be forced to return to life under a regime of oppression. They will face brutal violations of their most fundamental rights and face death, sex slavery, and other grim situations at the hand of the Taliban.

“The silence of so-called ‘feminist’ and ‘women’s’ groups is deafening. There is perhaps nothing more traitorous to the female sex than Sharia Law. Every single group that claims to support women should be denouncing President Biden for his actions putting these women at risk.

“President Biden must immediately close our southern Border and use those resources to provide temporary housing to the thousands of allies and their families he has abandoned. Leaving those who worked alongside U.S. troops for the last 20 years behind to face life under the Taliban is surely a death sentence.

“If this Administration is so inept that it cannot take care of these vulnerable children, women, and girls, here’s my message: bring them to me. As Biden’s humanitarian crisis unfolds, Concerned Women for America will work tirelessly to find loving homes for these innocent lives that will be subjugated to rape, sex slavery, and other horrible conditions at the brutal hands of the Taliban.”

From the Frontlines: How This Mom Is Putting Woke School Boards on Notice

By | Education, Media, News and Events | No Comments

Today, the Loudoun County School Board in Virginia will meet once again to vote on various matters concerning what some parents cite as “indoctrination” in their schools. The latest in a trove of Critical Race Theory clashes, this meeting was rescheduled after the first attempt was shut down earlier this summer, citing too much chaos.

To offer some insights into this new ground zero, Concerned Women for America’s CEO and President, Penny Nance, sat down with Monica Gill – a wife, mother, author, and educator who has spent over 25 years in the education system right at the center of it all: Loudoun County, VA. Monica has been on the frontlines of this battle, defending the Biblical worldview, and bringing attention to the damaging effects Critical Race Theory is having on students.

Listen to the full conversation and get some advice from Monica on what others can do who are willing to stand in the gap. You can listen by clicking below or by searching “Concerned Women Today” on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or anywhere else you normally stream.
