Now, one step away from signing HB 522 into law, let Governor Pat McCrory hear from you!

“Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:22-23).

Last night, I received an encouraging word of thanks with one final action request to CWA of North Carolina from Rep. Chris Whitmire, author and primary sponsor of HB 522, Foreign Laws/Protect Constitutional Rights Bill, saying:

“Good news and thank you! Tonight, HB 522, the Foreign Laws/Protect Constitutional Rights Bill, that started out as HB 695, passed the North Carolina House 75-37 with bipartisan support (passed the Senate 31-2 earlier) and now heads to the Governor for signature. This was a team effort with a rocky road to success, but tonight was a great night thanks to you. This said, it has one more step before becoming law, the Governor’s signature. While I do not expect any problems, we should take nothing for granted and make sure Gov. McCrory hears your support.”
