Between students coming to school too tired and distracted to learn, and parents who automatically side with their child in disputes with teachers, educators are blaming the lack of classroom discipline on parents that “buy off” their kids. Dr. Janice Crouse, Senior Fellow and Director of the Beverly LaHaye Institute, says the data on text messaging and computer usage in the home by teens backs up those charges.
