“When we face shattering events like the unimaginable tragedies of today, the search for life’s meaning becomes far more than an abstract philosophical question.
When terrorists attack in an such a despicable manner, when we witness such unbelievable and massive devastation, when life as we’ve known it is so ruthlessly destroyed, when lives have been struck down so senselessly and violently, anguish fills our souls.
As we seek to find a way to cope with the horror and tragedy that is almost beyond comprehension, God promises to be with us. Even in the face of such shocking and tragic evil, God promises to give us strength and grace.
Our prayers are with those who have lost loved ones and for our nation’s children and youth who have been stripped of their innocence by this attack on our freedom.”
