November 30 Update on North Dakota Abortion License Expiration Case

The investigation of this issue is now with North Dakota Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem. Please call him and politely urge him to do a full investigation into this issue and the practices of the Red River Woman’s Clinic in Fargo. North Dakota law was broken, and the Cass County States Attorney blatantly disregarded the law of the state by not pursuing this issue. It is now up to the Attorney General to pursue this, and he has the full authority through the North Dakota Abortion Control Act to subpoena all the records necessary from the North Dakota Health Department. If the Red River Women’s Clinic cannot even keep their visiting physicians licensed, we wonder what other North Dakota laws might have been ignored at the clinic. Are the women offered ultrasounds as directed by law? Do they apply minor consent laws when minors are seeking abortions? These are questions for which we should have answers.

Action:

Call Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem at 701-328-2210. Ask him to investigate this issue to the fullest of his authority.

Call Cass County States Attorney Birch Burdick at 701-241-5850 and express your deep disappointment in his blatant disregard for women’s rights under the law in North Dakota. Ask him to immediately review the case and follow the law!
