Speak Against the Unspeakable! Be a Voice for the Voiceless!

Polling from Quinnipiac shows that 62 percent of Americans support legislation protecting unborn babies beginning at 20 weeks.

Currently, the United States is one out of only seven countries that allows abortion past 20 weeks (or five months, the point at which most couples are excitedly finding out the sex of their child). As the United States House of Representatives, by bipartisan support, already passed a bill that would protect the health of women and their unborn child when it comes to late-term abortion. The opportunity now falls to the Senate.

That opportunity has been stonewalled by Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nevada) and other Democrats who refuse to support this bipartisan measure.  It has been over a year, and it is time for senators like Sen. Michael Bennet (D-Colorado), Mark Udall (D-Colorado), Kay Hagan (D-North Carolina), Mark Pryor (D-Arizona), and Mary Landrieu (D-Louisiana) to listen to the American people and allow this bill to come forward for a vote.

Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee (CWALAC),  Family Research Council Action, Susan B. Anthon List, Students for Life, and Americans United for Life are joining together to highlight these senators’ out-of-touch position on the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, S. 1670.

Talking Points: Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act The Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act (H.R. 1797) protects unborn children by prohibiting abortion after 20 weeks fetal age, except in cases of rape, incest or when the life of the mother is threatened, because these unborn children are capable of feeling pain.

Members of the Senate Calling for a Vote on the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act CWALAC applauds the Senate members who called for a vote on the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, S.1670. Penny Nance, CWALAC’s CEO and President, hailed the action as an essential step forward in the process to protect preborn babies.

The Dark World of Abortion, Part I: More Oversight Needed The first in a series of exclusive articles for BarbWire, commenting on the illuminating picture of the abortion industry as seen through the eyes of Esquire writer John H. Richardson.

The Dark World of Abortion, Part II: Special Treatment Abortionists want to be above the law. They want to be treated differently. They should be treated better than other doctors. They believe they should be celebrated for their incredible work, not questioned and held accountable.

The Dark World of Abortion Part III: Don’t Think; Just Conceal Dr. Willie Parker tells women abortion is “between you and your conscience.” But then he encourages them to ignore their conscience and go through with their abortion — the total opposite of leaving the choice to the woman and her conscience.

The Fiery Pro-Life Speech You Have to See

We now know that at 20-weeks fetus’ can feel pain, acknowledge their mother’s voice, hiccup and grow hair. However, Brit Hume said if science could tell us that the unborn can feel pain even from the beginning that the support behind abortion would crumble.
