As we prepare to observe the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church this Sunday, November 14, we are saddened by the shocking and bloody attack on a Christian worship service in Baghdad just weeks ago. This attack, which killed 64, has been promoted by al Qaeda as an example of attacks on “legitimate targets.” Dr. Carl Moeller, President of Open Doors USA, says that while Christians have faced persecution in the Middle East for ages, this turn of events places them in even greater peril.
