That’s the story “Secrets of the Mountain” tells. This thrilling adventure of a drifting family drawn together to uncover a mystery not only gives great entertainment for your family, it helps send the message that this is the kind of programming we want on TV!

If you’re weary of lunging for the remote – or turn TV off completely – because of the offensive programs, here is our opportunity. We can watch a fun movie with the whole family this Friday, April 16, at 8/7 Central on NBC and increase the ratings so TV executives get the message.

Believe it or not, we have two major corporations to thank for it. Proctor & Gamble (P&G) and Walmart realized that, to be proud of where their ads play, they needed to produce their own top quality programs.

They discovered that the best way to reach moms and families is by supporting what they care about most – our children.

This two-hour action/adventure film focuses on a single mother who takes her family to visit a mountain cabin she inherited from an eccentric uncle. An ancient secret and a treacherous quest will test the family like never before. It’s an edge-of-your-seat thriller that reminds us that when times are tough, families don’t run away from their problems – they run back to each other.

As the story unfolds, the characters display positive traits such as honesty and perseverance – things that moms are trying to pass on to their children.

Let’s show Walmart, P&G, and NBC that this is the kind of programming we want. And at the same time, well enjoy a great movie with our families!
