Concerned Women for America of Maine’s Encourage-A-Legislator (EAL) program is in need of prayer warriors who will commit to pray for our Maine legislators when they meet for the upcoming legislative session.

The EAL program will begin in January, and participants are needed for this very important work. By entreating God for His direct intervention for these legislators to make right and just decisions, you can make a difference in our state.

It is still true that “More things are wrought by prayer than this world dreams of”, and we serve a mighty God! “The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord as the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes.” (Proverbs 21:1).

Your legislator is in the Lord’s hands, but your hands clasped in prayer for him or her will bring God’s intervening power into play. Your cards will offer encouragement to the legislators and are not to be used for lobbying. If you would be willing to serve the Lord in this way from the privacy of your own home, please contact: encourage@maine.cwfa.org.

You will receive:

  • The name and biography of a Maine legislator to pray for daily;
  • Specially-designed post cards to send an encouraging note to your legislator on the first Monday of each month through May 2012;
  • Suggested prayers and words of encouragement for these personalized post cards.

    We look forward to hearing from you with great anticipation about what God will do this coming session as a result of our combined prayers!
