Capitol Hill Brief — Choosing to Serve

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Women have played invaluable roles in America’s history.  From heroes like Molly Pitcher, who chose to fight in the American Revolution, to Clare Barton, who chose to care for the wounded of the Civil War and founded The American Red Cross, to suffragist Susan B. Anthony, who chose to fight for a woman’s right to vote.

Then you have thousands of women who have served the home front running farms and businesses and providing stability in their homes and for the whole country.

All forms of services these women have performed require great sacrifices; they carry with them significant heartache.  Our country thrives when women are allowed to choose where they can best serve their nation.
