Dear CWA of Washington Members,

160,001 signatures as of Thursday, May 31! That’s the total for Referendum 74, the petition to REJECT Senate Bill 6239 which redefines marriage for all of us. We’ve reached the first goal of 150,000 signatures that we needed to submit R-74 to the people for a vote in November, but the more citizens who agree with us, the better for the final vote, so the higher the number of signatures, the more likely that R-74 will pass. Do you have R-74 forms? Have you signed it? R-74 forms must be mailed or delivered to the Preserve Marriage campaign this week, preferably by Friday. If you have forms, mail them today: Preserve Marriage Washington, P. O. Box 13350, Mill Creek, WA 98082. If you cannot do so, you will have to hand deliver them and need to call 425-361-1548 or e-mail replies@preservemarriage.com to make those arrangements.

On Wednesday, June 6, R-74 petitions will be delivered to the Secretary of State’s office in Olympia. Your forms must be to the campaign office no later than Monday, June 4, to be included in the final count, but the goal is as soon as possible, in order for the campaign to properly organize them. DO YOUR PART! COLLECT THOSE FINAL SIGNATURES AND DELIVER THEM NOW!

We are continuing to collect signatures for Initiative 1192 to reinstitute the state’s Defense of Marriage Act as marriage = one man + one woman. We have until July 6, 2012, to submit those petitions and need your forms no later than June 29, 2012. Mail to: Protect Marriage WA c/o Stephen Pidgeon; 3002 Colby Avenue, Suite 306; Everett, WA 98201; 425-290-2838.

Let us not grow weary! Continue to run this race with endurance in order to protect and preserve the Biblical definition of marriage between one man and one woman! If you still need to sign the petitions, call the campaign offices. For I-1192, you may also call the Distribution Hotline at 509-435-8870.

Marriage Matters Meeting: Duvall, Saturday, June 9, 2012, 2:00 -4:00 p.m. co-sponsored by CWA of Washington, Research Mom and Tacoma 9/12 Project. Commit to the LORD whatever you do and your plans will succeed. Proverb 16:3

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
