Dear CWA of Washington Member,

Life if so full of choices, isn’t it? Sometimes there are so many choices, our heads spin! Sometimes the choices before us are very difficult, yet we still have to choose according to the best experience and knowledge we have. This year we are presented with so many choices and huge decisions to make regarding our national, state and local leadership and issues of great importance to our futures and our families. In a recent email, CWA’s CEO and President Penny Nance shared these two items:

Think of all the women around the world who are not allowed to vote; many would give anything to have that privilege, and still, so many Americans take their right to vote for granted. In her latest article, Dr. Janice Shaw Crouse, Senior Fellow of the Beverly LaHaye Institute, explains why it is an American woman’s right and duty to vote. Read “Why A Woman’s Vote Matters” at www.ConcernedWomen.org.

Be sure to tune into CWA’s Election Central and CWALAC’s Facebook and Twitter starting at 7:00 p.m. on Election Day for unique coverage of the presidential, senate and down-ballot election results and explanation of why each outcome matters to conservative women!

PRAY with CWA for our nation, our states and our communities to make worthy choices in the upcoming election. YOUR VOTE, YOUR CHOICES!

REFERENDUM 74: Marriage should be reinforced, not redefined. Vote REJECTED on Referendum 74! Protect marriage as God intended and defined it, protect families and protect our future: VOTE REJECTED on R-74! Don’t redefine marriage! Marriage = one man + one woman only. Pray for success for the true meaning of marriage on November 6. Remember and share the 3 r’s: Referendum 74 rejects the redefinition-of-marriage bill (SB 6239). This issue is solely about retaining the traditional Biblical definition of marriage between one man and one woman. Same-sex and senior couples already have nearly all the benefits of marriage through a bill passed three years ago that gave them everything but the title “marriage”. Let’s protect our family structures and the unique relationship and purpose of marriage: the natural male-female balance and future generations. Only by voting “REJECTED” on R-74 will we stop same-sex marriage from becoming law in Washington State.

ENCOURAGE-A-LEGISLATOR CAMPAIGN: I hope you have signed up or will sign up to pray for a Washington state legislator. We have 147 state legislators and they need your prayers! You may sign up by returning the attached form to the state office (director@washington.cwfa.org) or CWA of Washington, PO Box 143, Woodinville, WA 98072.

Do you want to be more active in Concerned Women for America? Are you a prayer warrior? Are you organized? Then consider applying to become the state EAL coordinator. This position is vital to continuing our EAL Campaign. Please contact Maureen at the state office for more information. There are other positions available as well. Step up! Join our state leadership! Make a difference!

VOTE for our future! VOTE to continue our Biblical heritage! VOTE for your values! Be sure to mail in your ballot before the Tuesday, November 6 deadline. And continue to pray and fast that God will have mercy on this nation conceived from His Holy Word. As President Ronald Reagan said:

If we ever forget that we are One Nation Under God, then we will be a Nation gone under.

You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We can preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we can sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness.

In His Service,

Maureen Richardson, State Director
